This handbook is divided into 6 chapters, dealing respectively with the laws relating to forests, the laws relating to biodiversity, the laws relating to protection of plants varieties and farmers' rights, laws relating to IPR and traditional knowledge, case studies and judicial decisions relating to ABS and conclusions and suggestions. The author suggests that public prosecutors and judges should be trained in concepts like ABS. This book aims to cover all relevant information on the subject of evolution of ABS mechanism in India, covering different relevant laws into one single document which can be used as a guide should serve as a guide to environmentalists, Government, public, lawyers, judges, and academicians.
