Law "On biodiversity protection", no. 9587, dated 20.7.2006
This law aims to ensure the protection and the preservation of biological diversity and to regulate the sustainable use of the biological diversity components, through the integration of the key elements of biodiversity in strategies, plans, programs and in decision making at all levels.
This law contains some provisions related to the use of genetic resources in Chapter X, which states that the use of genetic resources should be done according to some rules and authorizations given by the Ministry of the Environment.
