The project agreements (MOU&MOA) and Material Transfer Agreement have been done between Department of Forestry, Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, Lao PDR, and the National Institute of Biological Research, Ministry of Environment, Republic of Korea on 24 December 2024, 14 February 2025, and 29 April 2025, respectively.

- Research results and related publications must be shared with the local project partners and the Lao ABS authority to acknowledge the genetic resource providers.
- This permission is used for this specific research only.
- If further experiment on the biological resource OR digital sequencing information is used for commercial purposes, the National Institute of Biological Research (NIBR), Ministry of Environment, Republic of Korea, must inform the ABS Management Authority and Department of Forestry, Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, and a new ABS agreement should be established with requesting the commercial permission from the ABS authority.
- For Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) obtained by the biological resource, the National Institute of Biological Research (NIBR), Ministry of Environment, Republic of Korea, must inform the Department of Forestry, Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, Lao PDR the IPR joint ownership in line with the agreement between the two parties signed on 29 April 2025.
- It requires to acknowledge the country of origin of genetic resources when making and using the Digital Sequencing Information (DSI) from the resources.
The collected samples or biological resources from this project are not allowed to a third party without permission from the Lao ABS authority and the Department of Forestry, Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, Lao PDR.
10 kg voucher specimens and dried leaves of the sample collected from this project will be exported from the Lao PDR to the National Institute of Biological Research (NIBR), Ministry of Environment, Republic of Korea, for research activities.
