The MTA has been done between the Department of Medical Entomology, National Institute of Infectious Diseases (NIID), Japan, and Institut Pasteur du Laos (IPL), Ministry of Health Lao PDR, dated 27 June 2024.
5,000 samples of mosquitoes (Aedes aegypti and Aedes albopictus) were collected nationwide.

1. It is required to share research results and related publications with the local project partners and the Lao ABS authority to acknowledge the resource providers.
2. This permission is used for the specific research mentioned above only.
3. If further experiment on the biological resource OR digital sequencing information is used for commercialization purpose, the Department of Medical Entomology, National Institute of Infectious Diseases (NIID), Japan must inform the authorities and establish a new ABS agreement.
4. For Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) obtained by the biological resource, the Department of Medical Entomology, National Institute of Infectious Diseases (NIID), Japan must inform the Institut Pasteur du Laos for the IPR joint ownership in line with the agreement between the two parties signed on 27 June 2024.
5. It requires the acknowledgement of country origin of genetic resources when making and using the Digital Sequencing Information (DSI) from the genetic resources.
