Not more than 1 kilogram of leaves, stem bark and roots will be collected and cold extraction of successive CH2Cl2 and CH2Cl2/MeOH (1:1) then concentrated. The extract will then be adsorbed on silica gel and packed on a column and elution done with appropriate solvent systems (Ethyl acetate in n-Hexane and methanol in Dichloromethane). Further purification will be done using preparative TLC, Sephadex LH-20, and crystallization techniques for a project titled ‘’Phytochemical Investigation of Bischofia javonica, Pittosporum viridifl and Entada leptostachya species for anti-plasmodial principles.
