Kenya Industrial Property Institute (KIPI)
Kenya Industrial Property Institute (KIPI)-a Parastatal under the Ministry of Industrialization and Enterprise Development.
The functions of the Institute are;
1. To administer Industrial Property Rights;
2. Provision of Technological Information to the public;
3. Promoting Inventiveness in Kenya and
4. Provision of Training on Industrial Property..
As a checkpoint, it manages Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs), Disclosure of source of GR and TK in patent applications or enclosure of MAT
KIPI deals with applying for Intellectual Property IP, particularly patents, which is an important step in commercialisation of GR and aTK
