The pages contain information about national and international legislation related to the Nagoya Protocol, instructions for domestic users of genetic resources and the Finnish access rules for traditional knowledge linked with genetic resources.
Finland has access rules for traditional knowledge of the Saami people associated with genetic resources. Otherwise the use of Finnish genetic resources is free for users from both Finland and abroad, and no Prior Informed Consent is required for their acquisition.
