Law on Protection of plant varieties nr. 39 of 29.02.2008
The Law Nr. 39 of 29.02.2008 on Protection of Plant varieties, published in Official Gazette 06.06.2008 Nr. 99-101 art Nr : 364 and entered into force at 06.09.2008.
The law reprezents a juridical frame to implement the International Convention on Protection of New Varieties of Plants (UPOV) of 02.02.1961, as well as the Agreement on Trade-Related Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights (TRIPS) of 15.04.1994. The scope of the law is to establish rules of organisatrion and function of the system for protection of varieties of plants.
