The National Framework on the Access to Genetic Resources and the Fair and Equitable Sharing of Benefit Arising from their Utilization (ABS) is the combination of policy, legal, administrative and technical instruments that are set in place to insure the fair and equitable sharing of benefits, transparency and verification, contains following components: government policy on ABS, regulatory regime for ABS, administrative systems for ABS and mechanisms for public education, awareness and participation.
