*Establish a system for mandatory disclosure of origin for the patent or any other Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) application which involves access to Bhutanese genetic resources and communicate with NBC on the receipt of the same;
*Ask patent/IPR applicant to obtain ‘certificate of compliance’ from NBC (ABS- National Focal Point) as evidence that the genetic resources or associated traditional knowledge have been accessed in accordance with the provisions of the ABS framework of Bhutan or make a requirement of ‘certificate of compliance’ mandatory in the application; and
*where appropriate, submit information related to ABS in the ABS Clearing House at https://absch.cbd.int/ through a focal officer designated as a National Authorized Users.
