The Netherlands Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority (Nederlandse Voedsel- en Warenautoriteit, NVWA) is responsible for receipt of due diligence declarations from users at the research funding stage as well as at the stage of final development of a product. The responsibilities of the NVWA also include monitoring and inspections of the domestic users of genetic resources.The NVWA may impose sanctions if users fail to comply with obligations.
