1. The indigenous marine water samples and extracted e-DNA genetic and biological resources from these marine water samples to which the permission pertains may be utilized solely for non-commercial research objectives as defined in the permit and set research by the permit holder.
2. The indigenous e-DNA genetic and biological resources to which the letter/permit related may not be utilized for bioprospecting without a previous permit obtained in accordance with NEMBA and the BABS Regulations.

To export water samples for e-DNA research to the Helmholtz Institute for Functional Marine Biodiversity at the University of Oldenburg (HIFMB) in Germany for the purpose of bona fide research only.

The e-DNA data should be submitted with the South African collaborator/PI who will then provide it to the designated authority.
Water samples collected in terms of this permit shall not be sold or offered for sale.
