Permission is granted to the Wellcome Sanger Institute, UK (representative: Dr Thomas Joseph Crellen, Sir Henry Wellcome Postdoctoral Fellow and Visiting Researcher within the Parasites and Microbes Programme/tc22@sanger.ac.uk) for utilising the samples of 50 dead Opisthorchis viverrini adult worms collected originally in a study carried out by the Swiss Tropical and Public Health Institute and Lao Tropical and Public Health Institute in Savannakhet Province, Lao PDR over the period of February to March 2019 (this study was granted ethical approval by the Lao National Ethics Committee for Health Research - NECHR, Ministry of Health, Lao PDR No. 098/Sub ID: 2017.84.MP), in which the samples will be exported from Lao PDR to the Wellcome Sanger Institute, UK in cold transport, under the Material Transfer Agreement (MTA) between the Lao Tropical and Public Health Institute of Lao PDR, Swiss Tropical and Public Health Institute of Switzerland and Wellcome Sanger Institute of UK, dated 16 March 2022.

(1) It is required to share the research findings and publications with the Lao Tropical and Public Health Institute, Ministry of Health and the ABS authority in order to acknowledge the provider of genetic resources.
(2) If further experiment of the genetic resources is used for commercial purposes and/or the materials will be taken out of Lao PDR, the Wellcome Sanger Institute, UK have to inform the authority as well as the ABS agreement and the MTA must to be established with supporting resource details.
