    Although the country has not domesticated the protocol, measures have been put in place to ensure some adherence to international guidelines. These include permits obtained for research, filming, photography and harvesting of natural resources. It is hoped that major milestones will be achieved during the implementation of the Global ABS project and these will provide solutions for most of the problems identified in implementation of the protocol.
